Two Gold Awards for Tull's Sausages
Tull’s Fine Foods has achieved two gold awards for sausages at The Great Hampshire Sausage and Pie Competition.
The annual contest, organised by local food group Hampshire Fare to celebrate the county’s talented butchers, attracted over 200 entries in 13 categories and entries were carefully examined by professional judges looking at external and internal appearance, texture, structure, colour, aroma and taste.
Tull’s was awarded gold in the Traditional Pork Sausage category and 20 year old Sparsholt apprenticeship graduate, Nathan Jones-Morris, was awarded gold in the Young Sausage Maker category.
Tull’s owner Ben said:
“The whole team is really excited to have achieved so much with our first attempt. We have been making sausages at Tulls for years, and the compliments we regularly receive from our customers have now been validated with these two gold awards. I’m especially pleased for Nathan who successfully completed his butcher apprenticeship just last year and whose pork and ale sausages are real winners!”
